Lisa Irani-Buitron is in her first year as the North Dallas tennis coach. The team is young and many are still learning the sport.
“I have a great group, they are good students and are a very coachable bunch,” Irani-Buiton said. “From the first day of practice, they have always tried hard and are constantly improving. The majority of these players are new to the sport so they are having to learn while they are competing.”
In team tennis, seven boys and seven girls compete in singles and doubles against other teams. The Bulldogs close the fall season against Thomas Jefferson at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Fair Oaks Tennis Center.
“My overall goal is to help them constantly improve their skills,” Irani-Buiton said, “and teach them to be a lifelong fan of the sport.”
