The North Dallas basketball team is riding a three-game winning heading into Friday’s game against Hillcrest, which is on a two-game winning streak. The teams square off at 8 p.m. at Loos Field House.

With two games to go, the Bulldogs need to continuing winning for a shot at the playoffs. North Dallas (10-13) is 6-6 and in fifth place in District 11-5A while Hillcrest (10-12) is in fourth place at 8-4. The Bulldogs close the regular season next Tuesday against second-place Woodrow, while Hillcrest ends the season against third-place Carrollton Creekview.

After the win over Conrad, ND coach Brett Cole said there’s a sense of urgency if the Bulldogs hope to make the playoffs.

“They understand there’s no tomorrow,” he said. “We have to win out.”

Senior Kobe Wrice has been a big force in the Bulldogs’ playoff drive. He scored 36 against Newman Smith, then 45 against Bryan Adams, 27 against Conrad and 27 against TJ.

The Bulldogs need him to have another big game.
