North Dallas has two matches left in the fall team tennis season. The Bulldogs face Sunset in a dual match at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Oaks Tennis Center.

North Dallas coach Lisa Buitron-Irani has 18 players on the team, including seven boys and 11 girls. The returning players include Anna Nguyen, Yaretsy Muñoz, Susana Erazo, Jeanette Ruiz, Kevin Rodriguez, Erwyn Almanza and Brayan Macias.

Buitron-Irani said the fall season helps the team prepare for the spring season.

“It gives us an idea of doubles teams, and to see who works with who,” she said Monday at Cole Park.

Buitron-Irani said she can count on having the same team for fall and spring. She’s also able to set a lineup for each match.

“With the returning players, their progress is faster, and they can help teach their teammates,” she said, noting that it’s hard to give individual attention with 18 players on three courts.

After Sunset, the Bulldogs close out the fall season against Woodrow Wilson on Oct. 11 at Samuell-Grand Tennis Center.
