Girls Varsity Basketball · Ailing Lady Bulldogs bounce back with district win over Molina

Terri Jeffery (4) and SaNiya Lampkin led the Lady Bulldogs.

After dropping five games in a row, the North Dallas Lady Bulldogs bounced back with a 51-23 win over Molina’s Lady Jags Wednesday night in a District 12-5A game at Cobb Field House.

The Lady Bulldogs play host to Adamson at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Cobb Field House. The JV game is at 6 p.m.

North Dallas lost guard Jakolby Flemings to injury against Kimball on Dec. 9, and then lost guard Ashley Poole to injury against Woodrow on Dec. 21. Ashley tried to come back but re-injured her knee and is now out for the season.

Terri Massey has stepped up to replace Jakolby and Ashley, but she’s also nursing some injuries.

Terri led the Lady Bulldogs with 20 points, including 8 of 11 from the free throw line, against Molina and SaNiya Lampkin added 18 points. Lela Brooks had 18 rebounds and Nakeisha Alridge had 16 rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs led 13-5 after the first quarter, highlighted by SaNiya’s 3-pointer at the buzzer. North Dallas led 23-7 at halftime, and 39-15 after the third quarter.
