The North Dallas softball girls didn’t fare well in the District 12-5A opener against Sunset on Friday, but the Lady Bulldogs made some great plays.
The girls’ highlight was a double play, getting the force play at third base and then making the relay to second base to complete the double play.
“We made a lot of great plays,” said softball Coach Chris Barnhill. “They hit the ball but they just got robbed on every hit pretty much. It’s a lot of improvement.”
“Pitching we’re doing OK with. We’re going to work on the hitting, trying to get them a little stronger, so they can hit a little further.
The Lady Bulldogs play Skyline at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in a non-district game at Forester 2. On Friday, they play at Molina at 7:30 p.m. The junior varsity game is at 6 p.m.
