Looking ahead to next month’s district meet, North Dallas cross country coach Troy Power will get to see the district competition on Saturday in the Molina Invitational at the Jesse Owens Complex.
“We’re running against just about everybody from our district, and I’ll know where we’re at at this point,” Power said.
The North Dallas coach says he’ll have about 10 boys and 10 girls running, including some new runners, on Saturday.
“I’m curious to see how we do,” he said. ” We’ve got a couple of people coming back. Not really expecting big times out of them. I just want them to finish.”
The North Dallas girls finished first and the boys finished second in the DCA meet last Saturday at Jesse Owens Complex. More teams will be competing in this week’s meet.
“We’re running against Hillcrest this time. I know when we get everybody there,” Power started to say, “… I can’t wait until district for the boys. And I’m not going to put any names out there but I’m getting excited. Same with the girls, getting real excited about it.”
Giovany Aguado races to the finish line in the DCA Coaches Meet last Saturday.
