The North Dallas cheerleaders are holding their summer conditioning on Tuesdays at the school.
“Since social distancing, we are not allowed to stunt,” said Coach Lauren Closner. “We are conditioning, working on motions and jumps, and learning game day cheers.”
The cheerleaders have three returning from last year — Jacqueline Briones, Grasiela Campuzano, and Linda Rico — and five returning junior varsity members — Summer Flores, Janirea Mclemore, Karen Espinoza, Emily Gallegos, and Samantha Santamaria.
Coach Closner said she’s waiting to hear from the district about summer camp.
“Hopefully, it will be at the beginning on August,” she said.
