girls varsity cheerleaders · North Dallas cheerleader captains are ‘really excited’ about their senior season

The 2020-21 North Dallas cheerleaders.

Senior captains Jacqueline Briones and Graisela Campuzano are excited about the upcoming year for the North Dallas cheerleaders.
“We’re really excited because it’s me and Graisela’s senior year,” Jacqueline said last week. “It’s our last year cheering, we’re captains, and so that’s a different experience for us as well. We’re really excited to make the best out of our last year.”
There’s 12 cheerleaders on the varsity squad this season. They cheered the Bulldogs on at the football game against Carter last week.
“Some of them are JV last year, but some are brand-new girls who made varsity,” Jacqueline said.
Graisela said,  “I’m just proud of the girls because they’re really fast learners. Especially in stunting, it is hard and they learned pretty quick.”
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the cheerleaders have had to make some adjustments this season.
“When we’re stunting, it’s a lot harder for us to stunt when we’re wearing our masks,” Graisela said.
The cheerleaders this season include Rosalyn Cisneros, Summer Flores, Emily Gallegos, Belia Sanchez Booth, Abbygail Gomez, Karen Espinoza, Julianna Serrano, Marianna Sierra, Samantha SantaMaria,  Abigail Aguilar, Co-Captain Grasiela Campuzano, and Captain Jacqueline Briones.
